Denise Ondishko, Ph.D.

Dr. Denise (Dede) Ondishko began playing the piano at age seven at the Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore, MD. She completed a B.F.A. in piano (conservatory) and composition at Carnegie-Mellon University, and received her M.M. and Ph.D. degrees in composition from the Eastman School of Music. She has taught music to every grade from pre-kindergarten (Rochester City School District, NY), Elementary (Portsmouth, VA) Middle School (Croton, NY), High School (Rochester, NY) to college (Oberlin Conservatory, OH). Her passion is music integration with all subjects, and helping children explore the living language of music as composers.
